■ MedImmune and SBI Biotech collaborate on autoimmune disease research ■
MedImmune, the global biologics unit of AstraZeneca, and Japan's SBI Biotech
Co., Ltd announced on September 11, 2008 that they have entered into a
licensing and collaboration agreement to develop and commercialize SBI
Biotech's anti-ILT7 protein for the potential treatment of systemic lupus
erythematosus (SLE) and other autoimmune diseases.

■ Takeda sets up subsidiaries for clinical development and sales and

Japan's Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited announced on September 25, 2008

Tianyin Pharmaceutical, a manufacturer and supplier of modernized traditional
Chinese medicine (TCM) based in Chengdu, China, announced that its common
shares have been approved for listing on the American Stock Exchange ("AMEX")
and anticipates that such shares will begin trading on the AMEX on or before
October 3, 2008 under the ticker symbol TPI.
